  • 1997 – First-degree specialisation in Neurosurgery and Neurotraumatology
  • 2000 – Second-degree specialisation in Neurosurgery and Neurotraumatology
  • 2001 – defence of doctoral dissertation; awarded doctorate in medical sciences
  • From 1996 to 2003 he served as assistant at the Department of Normal Anatomy of the Medical Academy of Warsaw, where he led seminars and lectures in normal anatomy for students of the Faculty of Medicine

Publications

Author and co-author of numerous scientific publications in neurosurgery, including papers in J Cereb Blood Flow Metab, Neurol Neurochir Pol, J Neurosurg, J Physiol Pharmacol, Folia Morph and Folia Neuropathol, covering topics such as cerebral vascular dysfunction after subarachnoid haemorrhage, deep brain stimulation, motor cortex stimulation, pituitary adenoma surgery, skull base surgery, and microsurgical anatomy of the basilar artery.

Participant in numerous Polish and international courses and workshops on spinal surgery, including Medtronic Spine Surgery Forums in Porto and Hamburg, AOSpine Davos Course, Eurospine Warsaw and Barcelona, Global Spine Outreach in Warsaw, IMAST Vancouver, Spine Symposium Amsterdam, NASS Annual Meeting Chicago, cadaveric workshops at the Royal College of Surgeons (London), Spineweek Geneva, Neuroendoscopy Workshop Marburg, and cadaver workshops on artificial disc implantation, minimally invasive spine surgery, spinal metastases, and vertebroplasty.
