On the basis of an agreement concluded with the Mazowieckie Voivodeship Department of the National Health Fund at the Carolina Medical Center in Warsaw, we offer many medical services financed by the National Health Fund. The contract with the National Health Fund allows patients to access modern medical equipment at no additional charge.

At the Carolina Medical Center in Warsaw, the National Health Fund patients can use the Children’s Surgery Clinic, the Trauma and Orthopedic Surgery Clinic for children and adolescents, and the Rehabilitation Clinic..

As part of the contract with the National Health Fund, subject to contract availability, we offer: surgical consultations and consultations in the scope of trauma and orthopedic surgery for children, as well as rehabilitation and consultations at the Rehabilitation Clinic for children and adults.

REFFERAL TO NATIONAL HEALTH FUND SERVICES

The basis for using health services financed by the National Health Fund is a referral issued by a doctor who has a contract with the National Health Fund:

for referrals to specialist clinics – a primary care physician or a specialist,
for rehabilitation referrals – a specialist doctor.

In the Carolina Medical Center in Gdańsk, NHF patients have access to Rehabilitation in the Day Center and to Outpatient Physiotherapy – also at home.

for outpatient physiotherapy – on the basis of an order issued by a health insurance physician;
for rehabilitation referrals – a specialist doctor.

REHABILITATION AFTER COVID-19 WITHIN THE NATIONAL HEALTH FUND

Rehabilitation after COVID-19 is available under the contract with the National Health Fund. Rehabilitation is for adult patients who have been infected with the coronavirus. Patients can do it within two weeks to six months of stopping treatment for COVID-19. A referral for post-COVID rehabilitation is issued by every health insurance doctor. The referral should be issued: to a physiotherapy laboratory (7th departmental code: 1310). Rehabilitation includes:

an initial physiotherapeutic visit (qualification for rehabilitation) – The clinical criterion for qualifying patients for rehabilitation is dyspnea on the mMRC scale (qualification is made by a physiotherapist);
a therapeutic visit (education and rehabilitation) – 3 visits a week on average for a period of 6 weeks;
final physiotherapy visit.
