MD, PhD Jacek Sokołowski

My scientific interests focus primarily on the physiology and pathology of the temporal bone and paranasal sinuses. My doctoral dissertation concerned an experimental and clinical study of the conductivity of the ossicular chain.

My main areas of professional interest are:

• surgical and conservative treatment of paranasal sinus diseases using endoscopic surgical techniques
• surgical treatment to correct the external appearance of the nose while restoring its function
• treatment of nasal airway obstruction (nasal septum correction, nasal turbinate surgery)
• surgical and conservative treatment of middle ear diseases

• Co-organiser of courses, conferences and congresses in Poland and internationally
• Assistant professor at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, Medical University of Warsaw, since 2012
• Auxiliary supervisor of a doctoral dissertation; supervisor of BSc and MSc theses
• Principal investigator of one research project within the National Science Centre
• Researcher in four National Science Centre projects
