MD Stefan W. Czarniecki
My speciality is the modern diagnosis of prostate cancer and the minimally invasive treatment of prostate cancer. I also care for patients with other prostate conditions – benign prostatic hyperplasia and chronic prostatitis. For over a decade I have been performing robotic surgery and personalised targeted therapy in the advanced treatment of prostate cancer foci, using the HIFU (high-intensity focused ultrasound) method and lasers.

About me

For many years I have been running leading robotic urology units in Warsaw, working with a team of top specialists; my practice is not limited to da Vinci robotic surgery. We also cover the remaining areas of urology, including oncological urology.

In diagnosing patients with suspected prostate cancer, I have performed more than 2,500 prostate fusion biopsies, promoting the technique of transperineal biopsy under intravenous anaesthesia as one of the more effective and safer methods of performing prostate fusion biopsy. In managing my patients with low-risk prostate cancer on active surveillance from all over Poland and abroad, I use the most advanced available tools and algorithms to safely avoid over-treatment in this patient group.

Since the beginning of my career I have influenced the quality of Polish diagnostics and the development of Polish urology at world level. I participate in many public campaigns on prostate cancer prevention.
