Regular participant in numerous conferences and training events on diabetes, cardiology and internal medicine, including the Minkowski EASD Advanced Postgraduate Course in Clinical Diabetes (Wrocław, 2006), EASD congresses (Vienna 2009, Stockholm 2010), Congresses of the Polish Diabetes Society (Poznań 2009, Kraków 2011, Gdańsk 2014), Karpacka Diabetes Conferences, Warsaw Diabetes Meetings and Top Medical Trends congresses. Attended numerous CSK MSWiA, WUM and Silesian Medical University training sessions from 2004 to 2016.
Tourism, especially mountain, aviation, literature
Author and co-author of more than 20 Polish publications on type 2 diabetes, oxidative stress, insulin resistance, cardiodiabetology, low-grade inflammation and glycated haemoglobin, appearing in journals such as Przewodnik Lekarza, Medycyna Metaboliczna and others from 2003 to 2015. Main research areas: correlations between IL-6, IL-10 and insulin resistance; IRS-1 protein expression in monocytes; cytokine profiles in abdominal obesity.
Regular speaker at Polish diabetology and cardiology congresses, including the 12th and 13th Congresses of the Polish Diabetes Society (Poznań 2009, Kraków 2011), the 45th EASD Congress (Vienna 2009), the 4th and 5th Karpacka Diabetes Conferences (Kraków 2008, Wisła 2010), and the 3rd Scientific Congress of the Polish Cardiodiabetology Society (Warsaw 2010).
