This prestigious distinction is a confirmation of the hospital's introduction of the highest standards of pain management.
The certificate is awarded by the Polish Association for the Study of Pain, which introduced the "Hospital without pain" program together with the Polish Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care, the Association of Polish Surgeons, the Polish Society of Gynecology and the Polish Association of Orthopedics and Traumatology.
This project involves the implementation of the recommended standards for postoperative pain relief both in operating theaters and in postoperative departments. As part of the program, the medical team at Carolina Medical Center have been trained in how to assess and relieve acute postoperative pain.
In our hospital, pain intensity is monitored and pain is treated in all postoperative patients. In addition, each patient is informed by the nurse and attending physician about the methods of pain relief used, and also receives a specially prepared information brochure.
