I am a neurosurgery specialist, a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine at the Medical University, and a certified instructor in endoscopic spine surgery. I specialise in the surgical treatment of brain and spinal conditions, as well as in interventional pain management. I completed my specialist training in neurosurgery at the Department of Neurosurgery of the Medical University of Warsaw and at the Department of Neurosurgery of the CMKP in Warsaw. I have independently performed more than 2,500 operations.
I specialise in minimally invasive surgical techniques for the brain and spine using a surgical microscope and endoscopy. I have particular experience in brain-tumour surgery – gliomas (operations with neuromonitoring and in awake patients), skull-base tumours (including cerebellopontine angle tumours), cervical, thoracic and lumbar discopathies using classical (open) approaches, and the full range of endoscopic spine surgery, instrumented spinal stabilisations, artificial discs, foramen magnum decompressions in Chiari malformation, microvascular decompressions in neurovascular conflicts (trigeminal neuralgia, hemifacial spasm), skull-base reconstructions – interdisciplinary endoscopic operations with the laryngological team, brain cavernous angiomas and aneurysms (ruptured and unruptured, classical and endovascular operations – a unique experience among neurosurgeons), spinal cord cavernous angiomas, endoscopic treatment of hydrocephalus and cerebral/spinal cysts, interventional pain management (spinal blocks, facet joint blocks, foraminal blocks, ganglion blocks, epidurals, peripheral nerve blocks under fluoroscopy or ultrasound guidance, thermolesions, implantation of spinal cord stimulators for pain management).
I am the author and co-author of presentations, conference papers and publications on neurosurgical issues. I completed the 4-year cycle of the Polish School of Neurosurgery and of the European Association of Neurosurgical Societies (EANS) Training, as well as the 2-year EANS Spine Training course. I am a lecturer on specialist and advanced courses organised by the Centre of Postgraduate Medical Education. I hold a range of certificates documenting my skills in spine treatment.
