Pain Treatment Centre

Get help from the specialists at the Pain Treatment Centre and put an end to persistent discomfort. We diagnose and treat a wide range of atypical pain conditions that patients have struggled with for a long time without finding effective relief.

We offer comprehensive pain management — from diagnostics to advanced therapies such as nerve blocks and regenerative treatments. Our pain clinic helps patients with spinal pain, joint pain, migraines and chronic pain conditions.

When should you visit a pain clinic?

If you have been suffering from spinal pain that won’t go away, physiotherapy has not produced results or you have a diagnosis but still no effective solution — if the pain radiates to your leg or arm and is affecting daily life — if you are taking medication that only works briefly and the pain has persisted for weeks or months: this is a sign that you need treatment addressing the root cause, not yet another round of ineffective therapies.

At our Pain Treatment Centre, we take a comprehensive approach to pain management, focusing primarily on identifying the root cause of the problem.

WHAT CONDITIONS DO WE TREAT?

  • spinal pain (sciatica, femoral neuralgia, degenerative changes)
  • degenerative joint pain (e.g. knee, hip)
  • post-traumatic pain, sports injuries, overuse pain
  • pain following orthopaedic surgery (e.g. after joint replacement)
  • runner’s knee
  • enthesopathies (tennis/golfer’s elbow, jumper’s knee, Achilles tendon enthesopathy, plantar fasciitis, greater trochanter enthesopathy)
  • pain associated with vascular diseases (e.g. atherosclerosis, diabetes)
  • neuropathic pain (resulting from nervous system damage)
  • migraine, cervicogenic headaches and cluster headaches

Our pain treatment philosophy

The Pain Treatment Centre at LUX MED Carolina Hospital is intended for patients with chronic (persistent, recurring) and atypical pain — particularly when all other methods have failed, or when the patient cannot undergo surgery to address the underlying cause. Our approach is individual and comprehensive.

We offer: specialist consultations, comprehensive diagnostics and procedures, as well as advanced therapies based on international standards.

In line with EFIC recommendations, we treat pain as a disease in its own right, not merely a symptom.

We understand that pain often causes suffering and prevents normal daily functioning, which is why we place great emphasis on an individual approach to each patient. Our specialists conduct detailed interviews and examinations to understand the history and root cause of the pain and propose appropriate treatment. We also know how important patient education is, so we share our knowledge and experience in self-care and prevention, to minimise the risk of pain recurring.
