Carolina Medical Center cooperates with Med4EU

We have started cooperation with Med4EU – a company that helps patients permanently residing in the United Kingdom and insured in the NHS (National Health System), in the organization of treatment in private clinics in Poland and the recovery of the costs of this treatment with the NHS. The rules for reimbursement are set by the EU Directive 2011/24/EU1 on the application of patients’ rights in cross-border healthcare, which came into force on 24 April 2011.

Med4EU takes care of all administrative issues related to the treatment and reimbursement of its costs:

• gathers complete medical documentation in order to obtaining the highest possible refund
• prepares an application
• takes care of the communication with the NHS

Patients receive a refund check from the NHS within approximately 4 months of submitting the application (this is the length of the NHS procedures).

By using Med4EU services, patients save time and increase their chances of getting a refund covering all treatment costs.
