MD, PhD Martyna Waniewska-Łęczycka
I specialise in the treatment of otolaryngological conditions, and my particular areas of interest include diseases of the nose and paranasal sinuses. In my daily hospital practice I perform endoscopic sinus operations, operations to open the nasal airway such as nasal septum correction and external nose correction. I also perform procedures such as plastic surgery of the inferior and middle nasal turbinates, palatal repair, removal of palatine tonsils, as well as other minor procedures in the pharynx and nose area.

About me

After individually reviewing the patient’s case, I use the latest available transnasal surgical techniques (such as the “Carolyn’s window” approach to the frontal sinus, or the prelacrimal approach to the maxillary sinus).

Procedures under local anaesthesia: UP2, conchoplasty, nasal fracture reduction, RF coagulation, lesion removal, polypectomy.

Procedures under general anaesthesia: sinuses, polyps, turbinates, nasal septum, ear drainage, rhinoplasty, tonsils.

Education

2007–2013 – Medical studies at the 1st Faculty of Medicine, Medical University of Warsaw

2020 – Passed the State Specialist Examination in Otorhinolaryngology

2022 – Awarded the title of Doctor of Medical and Health Sciences on the basis of the doctoral dissertation “New molecular aspects and treatment of chronic sinusitis”
