About me

Professional experience

  1. A graduate of the 1st Faculty of Medicine at the Medical Academy of Warsaw.
  2. After completing his postgraduate internship, he began working at the Department of Paediatric Surgery of the Central Clinical Hospital of the Military Medical Academy in Warsaw, headed by Prof. Zygmunt Kaliciński. From 1991, after defending his doctoral dissertation, he held an academic position in the Department as assistant professor.
  3. In 1995 he became Head of the Paediatric Surgery and Trauma Department at the Warsaw Children’s Hospital on ul. Kopernika.
  4. Since 2007 he has been working permanently at Carolina Medical Center.

  • Fellowship at the Northwestern University Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago.
  • PTChD fellowship at the Department of Surgery and Urology of the Medizinische Hochschule in Hannover.

Salzburg Philadelphia Medical Seminars: “Emergency Care in Pediatrics”.

Scientific Activity

  1. A participant in numerous Polish and international congresses and conferences devoted to paediatric surgery, trauma surgery and paediatric urology.
  2. Author of numerous publications in paediatric surgery, urology and traumatology, published in Poland and also in Japan, the USA, Germany, Turkey and Lithuania.
  3. At the Warsaw Children’s Hospital, he co-founded Poland’s first Centre for Arthroscopy and Knee Surgery in Children. In 2005 he established Poland’s first Centre for the treatment of kidney and ureteral stones in children.
  4. Holds a certificate of the Polish Society of Sports Medicine
  5. Holds a medical licence from the Polish Football Association.

Memberships in organisations

Member of the Polish Association of Paediatric Surgeons, the Polish Society of Sports Traumatology and the Polish Society of Sports Medicine.
