NFZ (National Health Fund)

Under the agreement with the Pomeranian Provincial Branch of the National Health Fund (NFZ), Carolina Hospital in Gdańsk provides medical services financed by the National Health Fund. In Gdańsk, NFZ patients can access outpatient physiotherapy – including home-based treatment. If the patient is unsure whether Carolina Hospital provides a given service under NFZ insurance, they should call the hotline (+48 58 77 01 500) or ask at the reception desk at the Carolina Hospital facility (ul. Wileńska 44, 80-215 Gdańsk).

To use healthcare services funded by the NFZ, you need a referral issued by a doctor who has a contract with the NFZ:

for outpatient physiotherapy – based on a referral issued by a health-insurance doctor.
for rehabilitation referrals – a medical specialist.
