Education

• Medical studies at the 1st Faculty of Medicine, Medical Academy of Warsaw
• 1992 – first-degree specialisation in general surgery at the Chair and Department of Liver Diseases of the Medical Academy under the supervision of Prof. Marek Krawczyk
• 1995 – second-degree specialist examination in urology
• 1995 – defence with distinction of a doctoral dissertation titled: Treatment of staghorn kidney stones using the PCNL method. Medical Academy of Warsaw, 1st Faculty of Medicine. Supervisor: Prof. Andrzej Borówka

Professional experience

• He gained his extensive professional experience at the best medical centres in Poland and abroad.
• He has been associated with, among others: State Clinical Hospital No. 1 in Warsaw, the Department of Urology of the Medical Academy of Warsaw, and the Railway Hospital in Warsaw.

Placements

Dr Artur Antoniewicz has completed many overseas fellowships at the largest urology centres, including in Germany (Bonn, Wuppertal, Munich, Würzburg, Worms), France, Slovenia and Italy.

Membership in Scientific Societies

• In 1999 he passed the European examination and obtained the title of Fellow of the European Board of Urology (FEBU).
• Since 2000 he has been a member of the PTU Scientific Committee, and from 2000 to 2008 he was a member of the Main Board of the Polish Urological Association
• From 2000 to 2010 he was a member of the CEM–PTU Examination Committee conducting the EBU urology specialist examination in Poland
• He is also a member of:
  • the European Board of Urology (from 2011 to 2017 he chaired the European Board of Urology (EBU) Examination Committee based in the Netherlands.)
  • the European Association of Urology,
  • Société Internationale d’Urologie.
